Part Time Universal Banker
The position is a part‑time role that combines teller, sales, and service responsibilities in a retail bank environment.
Responsibilities- Provide a distinctive client experience to ensure a consistent service level by engaging clients with a friendly demeanor, facilitating courteous conversation, conducting both complex and standardized transactions, and uncovering client needs.
- Educate clients on digital, self‑service solutions such as ATMs, online and mobile banking to enhance their banking experience.
- Support the team sales process by participating in client outreach through outbound calls, checking for client offers, and identifying client needs or opportunities by fulfilling the need or referring the client to the appropriate branch team members or specialist.
- Apply Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) principles to seamlessly deliver Truist expertise and solutions for clients’ unique needs.
- Participate fully in all components of the established Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines.
- Commit to advancing individual and product knowledge by attending sales, service and product knowledge meetings and all applicable training classes and web‑based learning.
- Adhere to internal controls, operational procedures and risk management policies, staying informed of all changes in policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current guidelines.
- Serve as a secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution, offering applicable products and services to clients and prospects.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Two years of teller, cash handling or client service experience.
- Six months of client relationship building or sales experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a desire to interact with clients and prospects.
- Ability to master personal computer keyboard and software skills necessary for branch automation.
- Ability to multi‑task under time constraints.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office.
- Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs as required, including temporary assignments or locale changes.
- Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours; occasional travel and overnights may be included.
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of client relationship building or sales experience.
- Knowledge of advanced or complex branch transactions, risk management and loss prevention.
- Experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients and client relationship building.
- General understanding of bank operations, policies and procedures.
All regular teammates (not temporary or contingent workers) working 20 hours or more per week are eligible for benefits. Eligibility for specific benefits may be determined by the division of Truist offering the position.
