Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer – Unarmed Patrol Rounds in Ashburn, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help deter security‑related incidents. You will support staff, students, and visitors with professional customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting.

- Provide customer service to clients and site stakeholders at a government education location by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, classrooms, common areas, parking areas, athletic areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or security‑related concerns.
- Monitor access points during arrival, dismissal, and special events; verify authorization, provide directions, and report suspicious activity according to post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with problem‑solving, including medical calls, disturbances, and alarms; request assistance and complete required notifications and reports.
- Assist with traffic and pedestrian flow during peak school hours and events, help maintain orderly conduct, and document observations, incidents, and actions taken per Allied Universal and site procedures.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
