As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Incident Awareness in Ashburn, VA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government education location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming, secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and document security-related activities using computer or tablet tools.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or community members by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at educational facilities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to assigned locations, greet and direct visitors, and assist with maintaining orderly entry procedures in accordance with site requirements.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately and communicate relevant information to school personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
