Field Service Technician

Position Summary

The HVAC Commercial Service HVAC Technician is responsible for supporting the service department, driving operational excellence, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate combines strong technical HVAC knowledge with proven leadership and business acumen.

• Journeyman's License required for the higher end pay

• Primarily work independently and to assist fellow technicians perform maintenance, service, repair, and install work to a varying degree based upon skills and abilities. Will likely be on call and asked to lead appropriate jobs. Small to medium equipment and systems.
• Possess the basic to advanced knowledge and consistently demonstrate basic to advanced skills in the following areas.
• Provide assistance when needed and may be asked to mentor less experienced technicians. Will be on call. Small to large equipment and systems.

Maintain, service and repair of a variety of cooling systems to include the following: DX and chilled water equipment including RTU’s, split systems, self-contained water cooled, ductless splits, multi zone, VRF systems, chillers, cooling towers, dry coolers/evaporative coolers and water source heat pumps.

Maintain, service and repair of a variety of air distribution systems to include the following: VAV/VVT systems, ERV’s/HRV’s, fans/blowers, ductwork, dampers, air filtration, airflow measurements and air quality measurements.

Maintain, service and repair of a variety of electrical and control devices to include the following: mechanical electrical components (contractors, transformers, fuses etc.), solid state components, motors, motor controls, VFD’s, DDC, pneumatic controls, thermostats, unitary control hardware/software and building automation system.

Maintain, service and repair of a variety of heating systems to include the following:
Gas and oil fired equipment including forced air furnaces, heat pumps, water source heat pumps, electric heat, humidifiers, water and steam boilers, direct/indirect fired MUA’s & ARU’s and venting requirements.
