Role Description The Audio Visual Technician is a full-time position. This role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining audio visual systems for a variety of commercial and professional environments. The technician will perform system checks, troubleshoot equipment issues, and support video conferencing setups to ensure reliable operation. Day-to-day responsibilities include setting up projectors, testing signal paths, documenting configurations, and collaborating with project managers and clients on system design and commissioning.
The role requires adherence to safety and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated proficiency with Audio Visual (AV) Systems, including integration, configuration, and operation
- Strong Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving AV, connectivity, and signal issues
- Experience with Video Conferencing platforms and hardware in professional settings
- Hands-on experience with Displays and Projectors, including installation, alignment, and maintenance
- Basic understanding of networking concepts relevant to AV systems (e.g., IP addressing, cabling)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals
- Effective communication skills and customer-focused approach when working with clients and teams
- Ability to lift and install AV equipment and work safely with tools and ladders as required
- Prior experience in commercial AV integration or a related technical field is strongly preferred
- Relevant technical certification or vocational training in AV, IT, or electronics is a plus
