** Position Overview
** We are looking for a Software Developer/Engineer to support mission-critical programs in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area. You will design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions in secure, classified environments. This role requires someone who can work independently, solve complex technical challenges, and deliver production-quality code in environments where reliability is not optional.
** Responsibilities
* ** Design, develop, and maintain software applications supporting federal mission requirements
* Build and integrate RESTful APIs, microservices, and data pipelines in cloud and on-premise environments
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including cybersecurity, Dev Sec Ops , and data engineering
* Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, code reviews, and retrospectives
* Write clean, well-documented, and testable code following established coding standards
* Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues in production systems
* Support continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and automated testing
* Implement security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
* Contribute to system architecture discussions and technical documentation
** Required Qualifications
*** Active TS/SCI clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) – no exceptions
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
* 3+ years of professional software development experience
* Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript/Type Script, or C/C++
* Experience with web frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, Flask, Django, Spring Boot, or similar)
* Familiarity with relational and/or No

SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch)
* Experience working with Linux/Unix environments
* Understanding of version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows
** Preferred Qualifications
*** Experience supporting the Intelligence Community (IC) or the Department of War (DoW) programs
* Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, CDK, ECS/EKS)
* Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
* Experience with Dev Sec Ops  practices, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git Lab CI, Git Hub Actions)
* Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards (NIST 800-53, RMF, STIGs)
* Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, AWS CDK, Cloud Formation)
* Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, AWS Solutions Architect, or equivalent
* Experience with data analytics platforms, search technologies, or identity management (Keycloak, OAuth/OIDC)
