Responsibilities
- Serve as an Agile Scrum team member providing software development and maintenance
- Responsible for activities associated with delivery of software solutions associated with customer-defined systems
- Designing, developing, and implementing custom software and database application capabilities
- Acting as a member of a product team supporting teammates and collaborating to ensure product success
- Providing improvements to the product(s) being supported
- Actively participate in release and sprint planning, artifact creation, testing, demonstrations, and retrospectives
- Supporting release planning with conceptual design and development/refinement of software engineering guidelines
- Analyzing complex project-related problems and creating innovative solutions
- Ensuring product quality and timeliness of work
- Providing mentoring to junior members of the team
- 7+ years related technical experience in software design, development, and implementation in a containerized Linux environment
- U.S. Citizenship is required
- Candidate must have an Active CBP Public Trust
- College degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems or related discipline
- Demonstrable experience with Python, PostgreSQL, Java Spring Boot, Angular, microservices architecture, and AWS
- In-depth knowledge of the Angular Framework (Type Script, Angular Material)
- Expert experience in programming languages/libraries:
Python, Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Typescript, JavaScript, CSS, HTML - Experience developing and maintaining Python applications or backend services in an enterprise environment
- Familiarity with common Python frameworks and libraries
- Object-oriented design and development (OODD) expertise, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
- Experience with source code control systems and concurrent development workflows (Git preferred)
