This is a full-time, on-site CDL A Truck Driver role based in Ashburn, VA. The CDL A Truck Driver will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport freight on regional and/or long-haul routes, following all federal, state, and local regulations. Day-to-day activities include conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, securing loads, maintaining accurate logs and delivery documentation, and communicating with dispatch regarding schedules, route changes, and delays.

The driver will be expected to follow company safety policies, perform basic vehicle maintenance checks, and promptly report any mechanical issues or incidents. This role also involves providing professional, courteous service to customers at pickup and delivery locations while representing V&F Trucking in a positive and reliable manner.

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL
  
  A) with a clean driving record and current medical certification.
• Proficient in safe driving practices, including defensive driving, hours-of-service compliance, and adherence to DOT, state, and local regulations.
• Experience with pre-trip and post-trip inspections, basic truck and trailer maintenance checks, and proper load securement.
• Ability to use electronic logging devices (ELDs), navigation tools, and basic mobile/dispatch communication systems.
• Strong time management, reliability, and route planning skills to meet delivery schedules safely and efficiently.
• Effective communication and customer service skills when interacting with dispatch, warehouse teams, and customers.
• Ability to lift, move, or secure freight as needed and to work in varying weather and road conditions.
• Previous CDL A driving experience (regional or long-haul) preferred; experience in freight or logistics environments is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
