About the Role We're looking for a Dispatcher to join our operations team at Excel Courier! In this role, you'll organize and monitor daily on-call and scheduled work, route vehicle jobs, and maintain quality control to ensure on-time delivery performance.

What You'll Do

• Use Xcelerator software to dispatch and track deliveries
• Communicate with drivers via radio and phone, monitoring GPS tracking
• Monitor jobs for all customers and ensure on-time performance
• Monitor email, website portals, and fax machine for incoming orders
• Coordinate with customer service team and support new customer training

What We're Looking For

• Strong knowledge of the Washington D.C. metropolitan area, Baltimore, and Richmond
• Ability to read a map and evaluate routes effectively
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
• Prior experience dispatching and routing on-call courier work

Current shift in support of 24/7/365 operations is Sunday
- Thursday 07:00 to 19:00 - Training will occur Monday
- Friday 08:00 17:00

Required Education and Experience

• Knowledge of Washington D.C. metropolitan area as well as Baltimore, Richmond.
• Ability to read a map and evaluate routes.

Work Environment This job operates in a demanding, high stress, fast-paced office setting. This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.

Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to walk, sit, hear, speak, hold, visually inspect, and utilize repetitive hand motions requiring finger dexterity and hand eye coordination. Employee must maintain a professional and customer-friendly demeanor, be able to work in a fast paced environment, handle stressful situations, occasionally lift and handle packages up to 50 lbs.,

and be able to visually distinguish primary colors.

Compliance Requirements Successful completion of all required pre-employment screenings, onboarding requirements, and mandatory training programs, including background screening, drug screening, credit check, HIPAA training, TSA training, and other company-required certifications.
