We believe our people are our greatest asset, and we're looking for an exceptional leader to help take our company to the next level.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager / Preconstruction Manager who is equally comfortable in front of clients, reviewing construction drawings, preparing estimates, managing schedules, solving problems, and leading projects from concept through completion.

This is not a desk-only estimating position, nor is it solely a project management role. It is an opportunity to become one of the key leaders of our company.

What You'll Do

You will oversee projects from the initial client meeting through final completion by:

Preconstruction
  • Meet with prospective clients and participate in project planning.
  • Review construction drawings and specifications for accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare detailed project estimates and budgets.
  • Develop scopes of work and assist in creating project specifications.
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing.
  • Identify opportunities for value engineering without sacrificing quality.
  • Lead project turnover into construction.
Project Management
  • Manage multiple residential construction projects simultaneously.
  • Maintain project schedules and coordinate subcontractors.
  • Monitor budgets and control project costs.
  • Prepare purchase orders and oversee procurement.
  • Process change orders and communicate with clients throughout construction.
  • Maintain project documentation and Buildertrend records.
  • Coordinate inspections and ensure code compliance.
  • Deliver projects on schedule while maintaining Trollinger Construction's high standards.
Leadership
  • Build strong relationships with homeowners, architects, engineers, and trade partners.
  • Lead project teams with professionalism and integrity.
  • Mentor field personnel and help develop future leaders.
  • Continuously improve systems, processes, and communication.
What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 7+ years of residential construction experience
  • Experience estimating custom homes or major renovations

  • Strong knowledge of residential building methods and sequencing
  • Ability to read architectural and structural plans
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

  • Experience with Buildertrend or similar construction management software
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
  • A commitment to craftsmanship, accountability, and continuous improvement
Preferred Qualifications
  • Custom home construction experience
  • Strong understanding of residential building codes
  • Existing relationships with subcontractors and suppliers

Our team is committed to:

  • Integrity in every decision
  • Exceptional craftsmanship
  • Outstanding client experience
  • Continuous improvement
  • Professional growth
