Exciting opportunity for a Civil Engineer (PE) exists within our client. A growing, full-service, multidisciplinary civil engineering, structural engineering, and land surveying firm based in Asheboro, North Carolina. A flat structured organization that really values people and their individual contributions. They are looking for a degreed, civil engineer with a NC PE license to lead land development and infrastructure projects across commercial, industrial, municipal and residential sectors.

Site Civil / Land Development & Municipal Utilities
Location:
Asheboro, North Carolina (Hybrid flexibility available)
Employment Type:
Full-Time
Compensation: $95,000 – $130,000 per year
What You’ll Do:
Site & Land Development Design:
Lead the preparation of complete civil construction plan sets, grading plans, erosion control, and site layouts.
Utility & Water Resources Engineering:
Design gravity sewer collection networks, water distribution lines, force mains, and pump stations.
Stormwater Modeling:
Execute hydrologic and hydraulic calculations; design SCMs/BMPs, retention/detention basins, and conveyance networks.
Permitting & Agency Liaison:
Navigate NC municipal ordinances and lead permit approvals through local jurisdictions and NCDEQ.
Plan Sealing & QA/QC:
Review engineering calculations, ensure design integrity, and seal deliverables as an authorized Professional Engineer.
Cross-Disciplinary
Collaboration:
Work directly with in-house land surveyors, structural engineers, clients, and contractors from initial site feasibility through construction closeout.
Qualifications:
- Education:
B.S. in Civil Engineering, Biosystems Engineering, or an ABET-accredited discipline. - Licensure:
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in North Carolina (or licensed in another state with immediate NCEES reciprocity). - Experience:
4 – 8+ years of progressive experience in civil site design, municipal utilities and land development. - Technical
Skills:
Strong proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD (or equivalent stormwater modeling software), and Microsoft Office. - Communication:
Clear technical writing, strong client-facing communication, and comfort presenting to municipal review boards.
