Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related Information Technology field, or a Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in Information Technology from a regionally accredited institution
- Two years of work experience in an Information Technology field OR two years of teaching experience in a secondary or post-secondary educational setting
- Three years of teaching experience in the Community College environment
- Professional or applied instructional experience with Python (scikit-learn, Pandas, Num Py, PyTorch, Tensor Flow) and REST API integration
- Demonstrated experience in predictive modeling, natural language processing (NLP), Computer Vision, Prompt Engineering, and fine-tuning Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Hands-on knowledge of data cleaning, annotation, SQL, and working with modern data pipelines suitable for AI model training
- Expertise in teaching or integrating AI ethics, bias mitigation, data privacy laws, and responsible AI implementation into coursework.
- Current AWS certification including Cloud Practitioner or Machine Learning
- Current Microsoft certifications including Azure, Machine Learning, AI
- Current Cisco certifications including CCST Networking, CCST Cybersecurity, CCST Support, CCNA, Cyber Ops Associate, Dev Net, or CCNP
GENERAL
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Instructor, Information Technology reports directly to the Department Head, Information Technology. Instructor, Information Technology provides quality learning experiences, facilitates the learning process, advises students, seeks professional development opportunities, and contributes to the development of curriculum courses/programs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:

DUTIES:
Classroom Instruction
- Teach all assigned courses, a range of 18 – 21 contact hours, for the full duration of scheduled instruction
- Ensure that each class session contains essential curricular components, has appropriate content and pedagogy, and maintains currency
- Teach an academic success class, as needed
- Evaluate student progress and provide appropriate, timely feedback
- Incorporate appropriate instructional technology to enhance student learning
- Provide and/or facilitate quality experiences in laboratory and/or clinical settings to meet program needs
- Maintain cleanliness of instructional areas and laboratories
- Ensure the proper operation of classroom/lab equipment, reporting any malfunctions to the appropriate person(s)
- Recommend textbooks and other instructional materials, including classroom and laboratory equipment to Department Head
