About

The Role

Reporting to the Manager of Transportation for 3rd Party Logistics in the 3rd Party Logistics Business Analysis team within Reworld’s ReMove service line, you will lead and oversee the work of the Assistant Business Analysts. Your role will involve managing the team to ensure accurate and efficient coordination with ReMove’s sales, carrier vendors, and the accounting team. You will be responsible for supervising the team’s efforts in matching shipments to carriers, negotiating rates, and ensuring smooth and effective communication between team members, customers, and vendors.

Additionally, you will be involved in training and mentoring team members, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring high-quality customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision:
    Oversee and manage the daily activities of the Business Analysis team, providing guidance, support, and direction to ensure that tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Team Development:
    Train, mentor, and develop team members, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their roles effectively. Provide feedback and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Process Improvement:
    Identify opportunities for process improvements within the team, working to streamline operations, enhance efficiency, and reduce errors. Implement best practices to improve overall team performance.
  • Issue Resolution:
    Act as an escalation point for complex issues or complaints that the team is unable to resolve. Work closely with customers, vendors, and internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly.
  • Data and Reporting:
    Oversee the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports, ensuring that all data is accurate and submitted in a timely manner. Work with the team to compile month‑end transportation accruals and revenue/expense data.
  • Customer and Vendor Relations:
    Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and vendors. Support the team in developing relationships with core carriers and addressing any performance issues that arise.
  • Billing and Invoicing Oversight:
    Supervise the team’s handling of customer invoice reviews and vendor invoice approvals, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Work with the team to validate billing details and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Cross‑Departmental

    Collaboration:

    Collaborate with other departments, including Sales, Accounting, and Customer Service, to ensure alignment on goals and objectives. Facilitate effective communication and coordination between teams.
  • Compliance and Standards:
    Ensure that all team activities are conducted in compliance with company policies and relevant industry standards. Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of accepted accounting principles and logistics best practices.
  • Administrative Support:
    Assist with administrative functions as needed, including managing KPIs, securing new vendors, and updating records. Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by upper management.
Qualifications
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Experience:

    Minimum of 4 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
