Environmental Air Systems, a full‑service mechanical contractor, is looking for Welders to join our fabrication shop in High Point, North Carolina. In this role you will work both independently and on a team with minimal supervision.

We are currently looking for welders to join our talented crew. This is a unique opportunity to start your journey at our High Point, NC shop with the opportunity of relocating to our brand‑new facility in Asheboro, NC!

• 1st Shift , 6:00am‑4:30pm with OT as necessary

• Weld structural steel members using MIG wirefeed processes
• Weld in 3G and 4G positions according to safety‑oriented procedures
• Read welding symbols and understand testing requirements
• Follow proper safety instructions
• Work in a team environment
• Perform other duties as needed by supervision

• Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED or related experience as a certified structural steel welder as determined by the plant manager
• Reading and speaking proficiency in either English or Spanish required

Specific Structural Welding

Skills:

• Ability to pass a 3G and 4G weld test using GMAW process on 3/8" material
• Good verbal communication skills with other employees
• Positive attitude
• Open minded with a vision for continuous improvement
• Ability to understand weld symbols and testing requirements
• Ability to read blueprints

Specific Physical

Skills:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Ability to step over and work on top of fixtures that are 28 inches off the floor when necessary
• Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold and where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels
