Welder Position at Environmental Air Systems
Build your future with Environmental Air Systems! Environmental Air Systems, a full-service mechanical contractor, is looking for welders to join our fabrication shop in High Point, North Carolina. In this role, you will work both independently and on a team with minimal supervision.
Training in High Point, NC
We are currently looking for welders to join our talented crew. This is a unique opportunity to start your journey at our High Point, NC shop with the opportunity of relocating to our brand-new facility in Asheboro, NC!

Schedule:
- 1st shift, 6:00am-4:30pm with OT as necessary

250 Swathmore Ave, High Point, NC 27263
Responsibilities:
- Weld structural steel members using (MIG) wirefeed processes
- Weld in 3G and 4G positions according to safety-oriented procedures
- Read welding symbols and understand testing requirements
- Follow proper safety instructions
- Work in a team environment
- Perform other duties as needed by supervision
Education Requirements:
- Minimum of a high school diploma/GED or related experience as a certified structural steel welder as determined by the plant manager
- Reading and speaking proficiency in either English or Spanish required

Skills:
Specific Structural Welding
Skills:
- Ability to pass a 3G and 4G weld test using GMAW process on 3/8" material
- Good verbal communication skills with other employees
- Positive attitude
- Open minded with a vision for continuous improvement
- Ability to understand weld symbols and testing requirements
- Ability to read blueprints
Specific Physical
Skills:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to step over and work on top of fixtures that are 28 inches off the floor when necessary
- Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold and where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels
