Position Summary:

The Planner/Scheduler is responsible for supporting production planning and material scheduling activities to help ensure customer orders are fulfilled on time while maintaining inventory and operational goals. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to coordinate materials, monitor inventory levels, and support production schedules in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the procurement of raw materials, including creating requisitions, placing orders, monitoring deliveries, and maintaining inventory records.
  • Support material planning activities to ensure production schedules have the necessary materials available.
  • Assist in scheduling production operations using SAP and other planning tools.
  • Communicate material status, inventory levels, and potential shortages to Operations, Warehouse, Quality, and other departments.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Marketing, and Operations teams to support packaging changes and product launches.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in maintaining appropriate safety stock levels.
  • Investigate and resolve material issues, including shortages, delivery delays, and inventory discrepancies.
  • Support continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives related to materials and inventory management.
  • Maintain accurate planning and inventory data within SAP and other business systems.
  • Prepare reports and provide administrative support related to planning and scheduling functions.
