Environmental Air Systems, a full-service mechanical contractor, is seeking an Industrial Painter to join our Manufacturing Team.
The Industrial Painter is responsible for preparing, coating, and finishing metal components in a light industrial fabrication environment. This role involves mixing and matching paints to required specifications, operating spray guns and spray foam equipment, and applying coatings with precision to ensure durability and a high‑quality finish. The Industrial Painter will follow safety and environmental guidelines, maintain equipment, and work closely with production teams to meet quality standards and project timelines.

1st Shift: 6:00am‑4:30pm with OT as necessary; 2nd Shift: 4:00pm‑2:30am with OT as necessary.
Location:
Train in High Point, NC and eventually move to new facility in Asheboro, NC.
- Prepare paint surfaces
- Mix paint
- Operate and maintain industrial paint booths
- Operate and maintain spray guns and other equipment
- Apply spray foam insulation
- Maintain spray foam equipment
- Use respirator daily during work activities
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
- RCRA, HAZWOPER certifications a plus
- Auto body painting experience a plus
Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED or related experience in Industrial/Automotive Painting as determined by the plant manager.
Requirements & Skills- Reading and speaking proficiency in either English or Spanish required
- Auto Body painting experience a plus
- Good verbal communication skills with employees
- Positive attitude
- Open minded with a vision for continuous improvement
- Ability to take on more responsibility as the business grows
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to step over and work on top of fixtures that are 28 inches off the floor when necessary
- Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold and where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels
