The Quality Safety Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Asheboro, NC, responsible for overseeing quality management and safety programs within the facility. This role monitors production processes and quality control activities, ensuring adherence to internal standards, customer requirements, and applicable certifications. The Quality Safety Manager conducts audits, analyzes nonconformities, implements corrective and preventive actions, and maintains documentation for compliance and continuous improvement.
In addition, this position leads safety initiatives, develops and delivers training for team members, and collaborates with operations, engineering, and leadership to drive a culture of quality and workplace safety. The individual in this role regularly reviews performance metrics, prepares reports, and supports cross-functional projects to improve product reliability and operational efficiency.
- Candidates should possess strong Quality Management and Quality Assurance skills, including experience implementing and maintaining quality systems and standards.
- Candidates should possess Quality Control and Auditing skills to evaluate processes, identify issues, and verify compliance with internal and external requirements.
- Candidates should possess Training skills to design, deliver, and reinforce quality and safety programs for team members at all levels.
- Experience working within ISO-certified or similarly regulated manufacturing environments is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality management, industrial technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis capabilities, with proficiency in data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and promote a safety-focused culture.
- Familiarity with plastics manufacturing processes or related industrial production environments is a plus.
