JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Campus Store Lead Assistant provides operational support for the RCC Campus Store, including textbook and course material operations, inventory, ordering and receiving, departmental orders, billing, off-site retail locations, and daily Store activities.
When working as the lead employee on duty, the Lead Assistant serves in a shift-supervisory role under the authority of the Associate Director of College Services. The Lead Assistant may direct part‑time staff, assign routine work, address routine employee and customer issues, and ensure established Store procedures are followed. Significant personnel, policy, or other management matters are referred to the Associate Director of College Services or, when appropriate, the Executive Director of College Services.
QUALIFICATIONS:Required:

- Demonstrate excellent customer service in all interactions, model Radical Hospitality, and operate under College and RCC Campus Store policies and procedures.
- Operate and accurately utilize the Store POS, textbook management, inventory, and other applicable systems, including established cash‑handling, reconciliation, and daily deposit procedures.
- Coordinate textbook and course‑material operations, including faculty adoptions, semester setup, identifying missing adoptions, and placing initial textbook orders.
- Monitor textbook and course‑material inventory throughout the semester and coordinate reorders, approved returns, dead‑stock and wholesale returns, and textbook buyback activities.
- Prepare textbook inventory, shelf tags, and course materials for semester sales periods.
- Receive textbooks, retail merchandise, course materials, food and beverage products, and other inventory into the appropriate inventory management system.
