About the role
This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus.
The Maintenance Mechanic is a skilled worker in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining all components of both diesel and gasoline engine driven heavy trucks, construction equipment, and complex hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. This position will be on-site at the Asheboro Carl Road location.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose, build, rebuild, and repair all parts of equipment, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Perform inspection, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulic systems, suspension, brake, and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
- Welding and fabricating to repair and build trucks and secondary equipment.
- Complete equipment maintenance records.
- Perform repairs, including emergency repairs in the field.
- Conduct service road calls.
- Order supplies and parts.
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in plant and/or heavy equipment maintenance.
- Minimum 1-year experience in a diesel mechanical role.
- Valid Driver's License. CDL Class A driver's license preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred or must have a minimum 5 years verifiable maintenance experience.
- Must be able to read precision instruments, such as micrometers, dial indicators, digital multi-meters, and other electronic diagnostic tools.
- Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions.
- Frequently required to stand, sit, climb, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach.
- Climbing ladders and structures; must be able to tolerate heights.
- Ability to work in an environment that includes exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, noise level, and outside weather conditions.
- Ability to operate small hand tools, power tools, hand trucks, drill presses, gas welding, brazing or cutting apparatus.
- Typically, Monday through Friday day shift 11:00 am
-8:00pm with occasional weekends.

Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future.
The pay range for the primary location of this position is: $43,100.00 - $57,400.00 USD. For hourly roles, this is the annualized salary. To calculate the hourly rate, divide by 2080.
