We are recruiting an Accounting Manager for a growing organization with a broad operating footprint. In this role, you will have ownership of the monthly close and financial reporting process across multiple business lines, along with significant exposure to senior leadership and cross-functional partners. You will join a talented accounting team while partnering closely with Finance leadership. The role combines hands-on accounting leadership, technical research, financial reporting, audit oversight, and process improvement in an organization that continues to invest in technology and automation.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the monthly close process across multiple business lines and legal entities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Manage, mentor, and serve as a technical resource to the accounting team, providing guidance on complex transactions, reconciliations, and accounting matters.
- Oversee consolidations, general ledger activity, account reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules.
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements and management reporting, including reporting across multiple locations and cost centers.
- Partner closely with FP&A and business leaders to provide accurate financial information, investigate variances, and support forecasting and business decision-making.
- Coordinate the external audit, including preparation of supporting schedules, resolution of audit requests, and maintenance of appropriate internal controls and documentation.
- Research and document technical accounting matters and help develop accounting policies and procedures as the organization continues to grow.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve accounting processes, systems, controls, and reporting through automation, AI, and other emerging technologies.
- Partner with the Controller on broader accounting initiatives, including tax and compliance matters, systems projects, cash management, and other strategic priorities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field with 6+ years of progressive accounting experience; CPA preferred.
- Strong foundation in U.S. GAAP, month-end close, consolidations, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and external audit support.
- Public accounting experience combined with subsequent corporate accounting experience is preferred
- Demonstrated leadership ability with strong technical accounting skills
