The Drivetrain Specialist will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining engines and transmissions in various types of vehicles. This role requires deep technical knowledge of drivetrain components and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair major vehicle components including engines, transmissions, and differentials.
  • Disassemble and reassemble vehicle engines and transmissions.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure vehicle safety and reliability.
  • Use diagnostic tools to test vehicle components and systems.
  • Interpret and follow complex technical diagrams and manuals.
  • Communicate effectively with Recon Managers regarding vehicle issues and repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles.
  • Stay updated with new technologies and techniques in automotive repair.
Requirements
  • Certification from a recognized automotive training institution.
  • Proven experience as an automotive technician with a focus on heavy line repairs.
  • In-depth knowledge of modern automotive technology and heavy machinery.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using automotive diagnostic software and equipment.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and physical stamina.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Preferred Education and Certification
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational schooling preferred.
  • Experience with multiple foreign and domestic platforms.
  • Certification from a recognized automotive institution such as ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) in areas like engine performance and transmission repairs.
