Position: Construction Project Manager (PLS Preferred)

5-10+ years of construction surveying experience
Previous experience as a Construction Survey Project Manager, Senior Party Chief, Survey Manager, or Construction Survey Coordinator
Strong knowledge of construction layout, site control, and as-built surveys
Experience reviewing plans and preparing field data packages
Client-facing experience with responsibility for project delivery
Proficient with Trimble Business Center, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Carlson, or similar software
Experience with 3D machine control modeling (major plus)
Ability to perform calculations, coordinate system setup, and complex construction layout
PLS preferred but not required depending on experience level

Biggest Takeaway

This is much more than a traditional Survey PM role. They appear to be looking for someone who can manage projects while also serving as a technical expert in construction layout, site control, and 3D machine control modeling. A strong Senior Crew Chief or Construction Survey Manager looking to move into PM responsibilities could be a strong fit, even without a PLS.
