Insight Global is seeking a Construction Superintendent to support large-scale pharmaceutical manufacturing and life sciences construction projects. This individual will serve as the on-site construction leader responsible for coordinating subcontractors, driving project schedules, ensuring safety compliance, and overseeing day-to-day field operations from groundbreaking through project turnover.
The ideal candidate has experience managing complex industrial, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or advanced manufacturing construction projects where quality, safety, and schedule adherence are critical to project success.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities- Lead daily field operations and supervise all on-site construction activities
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and trade partners to maintain project schedules
- Conduct daily site walks to ensure quality standards and safety compliance
- Review construction drawings and proactively identify potential issues
- Manage short-interval planning and look-ahead schedules
- Track project progress and provide updates to Project Managers and client stakeholders
- Coordinate inspections, testing, and turnover activities
Assist with resolving field conflicts, RFIs, and scope changes - Maintain detailed project documentation, reports, and site logs
- Ensure all work complies with regulatory, quality, and client requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, life sciences, or mission-critical construction projects
- Experience managing multiple subcontractors and field activities simultaneously
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and site logistics
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project schedules
- Experience leading daily safety meetings and enforcing site safety requirements
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Pharmaceutical, biotechnology, cGMP, cleanroom, or life sciences construction experience
- Experience working on projects exceeding $20M in construction value
- OSHA 30 Certification
- Experience with Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar construction management software
- Background working for a General Contractor
