We are seeking a Construction Foreman to join our U.S. Rebuild team in Asheville, NC
. Through humanitarian work, the goal and purpose of Samaritan's Purse are to help people in Jesus' name and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
In the role of Construction Foreman
, you will have the opportunity to:
- Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ
- Partner with the Project Superintendent, Volunteer Coordinators, and Logistics Coordinators to design and construct homes that bring hope to the affected community.
- Engage with on-site volunteer teams, providing hands-on training and support. Guide team members to ensure they understand their roles and empower them to contribute effectively to the construction process
- Uphold the highest quality standards by meticulously overseeing project progress, ensuring compliance with budgetary guidelines, and maintaining exceptional craftsmanship
- Safeguard all materials and equipment at job sites by maintaining strict inventory control and enforcing security measures to prevent loss or damage.
- Conduct thorough inspections of all projects to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local laws and codes, while effectively communicating and ministering to volunteers and partners about progress and needs.
- Other duties as assigned
- One-year certificate from a college or technical school and three (3) to six (6) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with all aspects of residential home construction, from layout and foundation work to final inspection, is required.
- Thorough knowledge of the construction industry and processes
- Ability to read construction drawings and blueprints
