The facility operates a Pediatric Behavioral Health unit specializing in child and adolescent psychiatric care. The 24-bed inpatient unit maintains flexibility to adjust bed allocation between pediatric and adolescent populations based on admission patterns. The facility utilizes Cerner Power chart EMR system and provides comprehensive support staff including nursing, social work, and technical staff.

The state provides numerous tour options and outdoor adventures across different geographical areas from mountains to coastal regions.

The position involves providing comprehensive inpatient psychiatric care for children and adolescents on a 24-bed unit that can flex between pediatric and adolescent populations. Clinicians work 10-hour shifts in a mostly 7 on/7 off schedule, handling 1-3 admissions daily with the remainder consisting of follow-up care. The C&A psychiatrist on call manages all consults and evaluations for the day, while other physicians cover follow-up patients and unit management.

Call responsibilities include psychiatric consultations from Emergency Department admissions, with no callback requirements after leaving the facility.
