Position Description
WAKE FOREST UNIVERSITY
. The Department of Politics and International Affairs invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position, beginning July 2026.
Qualifications: A PhD or ABD status in Political Science is required for the position. Qualified applicants will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching and be able to teach courses in Public Law and/or Research Methods, among other courses that complement the department's current offerings.
Position Summary: This is a full-time leave-replacement position with a 3-3 course load. Among the courses that the department is particularly in need of offering and that a successful candidate could offer are Constitutional Law;
Civil Rights and Liberties;
Judicial Politics; the department's required Research Methods course; and other courses in American Politics. Information about the Politics and International Affairs department is available at (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below)./
