Overview
The Ayurvedic Institute is a non‑profit 501(c)(3) organization that teaches the principles and practices of Ayurveda, the ancient science of life. We provide authentic education in a supportive environment that encourages the integration of Ayurveda by individuals into their daily living and by health‑care professionals into their clinical practices.
This Education Coordinator and Admissions Support position is responsible for all aspects of student enrollment processes as well as the student lifecycle at the Institute. This position will support, guide, and hold students accountable to reach their education goals. This position will assist with student tuition. Assist with recruiting initiatives in areas of student tours, interviews, and answering general inquiries.
This is an on‑site position and not remote.
Responsibilities- Maintain student information and class details in Populi. li>Manage all aspects of the student life cycle at the Institute.
- Guide students and hold accountability to academic and school standards.
- Coordinate and execute all student activities with the Dean of Education.
- Participate in recruitment for staff and conduct admissions interviews for students.
- Perform tours for prospective students.
- Work with accounting to ensure all outstanding tuition funds are collected in a timely manner.
- Run reports to present data.
- Attend meetings as needed: weekly, inspiration meeting, Edu Dept meetings, etc.
- Understand and train others on all technology systems.
- Knowledge of and a passion for Ayurveda and The Ayurvedic Institute’s mission, an orientation toward stewardship and an excitement for and dedication to co‑creating experiences which help to contribute to well‑being preferred.
- Ability to work with complex and emergent situations where there may not be one right answer or formula to follow.
- Strong communication skills and ability to have systems to keep organized where accessing data comes with.
- Strong technology skills with ability to adapt and learn new technology. Must have strong background with Google products such as Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.
- Ability to contribute to, interpret and implement policies and procedures, skills to gather, analyze and present data, and the ability to make informed determinations and judgments on a range of confidential and/or sensitive issues.
- University degree, at least 2 years of applicable experience and great practice based partnering skills is a plus.
- Must be positive, harmonious with others, and able to live by the Core Values of the Ayurvedic Institute.
- Must be computer savvy and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Candidate must be proficient in Apple Mac products (i.e. Pages, Keynote).
This position is on‑site and requires occasional evening or weekend work. Shift begins at 7:30am. FT or PT availability will be considered.
