Adjunct Teaching Assistant, Culinary Arts (Continuous Posting)

Position Summary Information:
Assist in the teaching of a full range of technical skills and principles relative to culinary arts in a lab atmosphere.

Duties:
Assist in teaching a full range of technical skills and principles relative to Culinary Arts. Apply and maintain sanitation and safety standards and uniform requirements in the classroom and lab environments. Assist in maintaining accurate records in required format for audit purposes.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate degree in Culinary Arts or related field;
• Three years professional culinary experience working at upscale facilities in the capacity of Sous Chef or Executive Chef;
• Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
• Evidence of culinary competency, which may include ACF certifications as Certified Executive Chef, Certified Chef de Cuisine, or Certified Sous Chef;
• Eligible for or in possession of American Culinary Federation (ACF) Certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Community college teaching experience in Culinary Arts
• Industry recognized certifications.
