Overview

The Youth Literacy Director provides strategic vision, operational leadership, and instructional oversight for a community-based program delivering high-dosage, evidence-based reading tutoring to K-8 students in Buncombe County. The Director drives program growth, cultivates partnerships with community and school partners, oversees curriculum development, and manages a robust paid internship program for high school and college students. The role ensures high-quality instruction, data compliance for grant reporting, and effective supervision and support of the Youth Literacy Associate, interns, and volunteer tutors.
