High School Pre-Employment Transition Instructor

Job Type: Full-Time | 10-month

Location: Rockingham & Caswell Counties

Pay: $22.00/hour

Community Workforce Solutions is seeking a High School Pre-Employment Transition Instructor to work with students with disabilities throughout Rockingham & Caswell Counties. As part of our Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) program, you'll lead instruction that helps students explore career opportunities, develop workplace skills, and prepare for greater independence after high school.

• Plan and deliver engaging classroom instruction
• Teach career readiness and practical life skills
• Adapt lessons to meet individual student needs
• Lead individual and small-group activities
• Develop lesson materials and hands-on activities
• Track student progress and maintain program documentation
• Collaborate with facilitators and school staff
• Travel between assigned high schools throughout Rockingham & Caswell Counties

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education,Rehabilitation, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
• Experience teaching or working with students with disabilities
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Ability to adapt instruction for different learning needs
• Valid North Carolina driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Ability to travel between Rockingham County & Caswell County school sites
• Ability to complete a background check and drug screening

• Ability to lift 10-25 pounds
• Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout the day
