Manufacturing Designer — National Nuclear Security Administration

Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS) is the management and operations contractor for the Savannah River Site. Salary Range: $85,700 - $120,000

What You Will Do
  • Design tooling, fixturing, and training objects using PTC Creo Parametric & Windchill.
  • Execute the full lifecycle of manufacturing design engineering projects from concept through deployment and maintenance.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, manage timelines, and ensure projects stay within budget.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the team.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues, optimize performance, and stay current with industry trends and technologies.
  • Collaborate with engineers across the Nuclear Security Enterprise on MCAD and related topics.
  • Collaborate and assist product engineering in digital thread activities and other identified areas.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with at least five years of experience, or Master’s degree with at least two years of experience, or Doctoral degree in a relevant field.
  • Equivalencies to education/experience will be considered.
  • Working experience with PTC Creo Parametric version 8 or later.

  • Experience with tooling, fixturing, or equipment design.
  • Experience with advanced drafting techniques.
  • Experience with Windchill 11.1 or later.
  • Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing per ASME Y14.5 and Y14.43, including training in GD&T.
  • Experience with additive manufacturing.
