What You Will Do
- Drive culture of compliance through strong collaboration with Operations and Manufacturing teams.
- Act as leader for the Asheville site to drive critical improvements and issue resolution for quality issues to closure.
- Lead Process Improvement opportunities using DMAIC, CORE and Lean Strategies to enhance quality, decrease process cycle time, and reduce operational costs.
- Identify and establish required QMS improvements to support this new internal product line.
- Lead activities to support FAA & AS9100 scope expansion.
- Day‑to‑day operational decision making and oversee allocation of resources to meet customer demand.
- Provide technical expertise of non‑conforming material and support the communication and processing of quality notifications through the Material Review Board (MRB) process.
- Collaborate with the operations and materials teams to ensure alignment to meet customer demand.
- Define and implement plans to support the objectives of the business including Quality, CORE, and financial metrics.
- Provide effective communication to ensure alignment as a leader within the Quality and ACF organizations.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 7 years of experience.
- Minimum of 3+ years in a Quality Engineering role.
- Demonstrated leadership & management experience.
- Knowledgeable / experienced in AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality systems.
- Working knowledge/proficiency in quality tools such as FAI, PFMEA, DFMEA, GR&R, GD&T elements, etc.
- Experienced in root‑cause corrective action and eliminating non‑conformances.
- PW quality system experience.
- Practical DMAIC, CORE, Six Sigma experience or other lean systems experience.
Onsite:
Employees will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Salary range: 132,400 USD – 251,600 USD.
