What You Will Do
- Design, develop, and deploy complex Ignition SCADA systems for manufacture of hardware.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams including Manufacturing engineering, Material handling, Quality, and Operations to define requirements and specifications.
- Integrate Ignition systems with PLCs, HMIs, databases, and other control systems in manufacturing.
- Configure Ignition software to meet specific project requirements, including developing custom scripts and templates.
- Design and implement control systems, including PLC programming, hardware selection, and network configuration.
- Develop and test software solutions for manufacturing processes, ensuring seamless communication and control.
- Design, develop, and optimize machine automation solutions for manufacturing processes.
- Partner with Operations, Quality, Materials and Engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to new product implementation, automation systems and controls hardware.
- Analyze processes and identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements through collaboration of various teams in manufacturing.
- Ensure all automation solutions comply with safety standards and best practices in manufacturing.
- Ability to manage project timelines of work performed, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent experience and a minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
- Extensive experience in developing and integrating Ignition SCADA systems. Strong expertise in controls hardware engineering, including PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and industrial networking.
- Proven experience in machine automation within a manufacturing environment. Understanding of manufacturing processes and process optimization.
- Proficiency in programming languages used in automation and control systems (e.g., Python, Java, Ladder Logic).
- Strong project management skills with a track record of leading successful automation projects.
The salary range for this role is $86,800 - $165,200 USD. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term and long‑term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, holidays, and incentive compensation programs. Specific benefits are dependent on business unit and collective‑bargaining agreement.
