Senior Strategic Coatings Manufacturing Engineer

The Senior Strategic Coatings Manufacturing Engineer will develop and qualify new processes to meet or exceed delivery and quality targets, and assist in manufacturing readiness for these processes at HSMC sites in Asheville, NC, East Hartford, CT, and Middletown, NY. The candidate will work across the module center by demonstrating technical project management, interpersonal and team skills, as well as strong communication skills and the ability to multi-task and adapt to changing business requirements.
- Define future process needs to provide the highest yield and lowest cost to meet product definition, including equipment needs, tooling, and inspection for future state processes.
- Participate in testing at factory and site acceptance of new equipment designs.
- Develop production processes, work instructions, quality requirements, and regulatory requirements.
- Design and lead implementation of standardized engineering practices, processes, tools, and methods.
- Lead Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) of new process to align with program requirements.
- Support implementation and execution of NPI to meet customer and financial requirements.
- Drive product cost reduction and ensure targets are achieved through data-driven process improvements and deployment of new technologies.
Onsite – employees will work primarily onsite on production and maintenance tasks. Commute to assigned site is personal responsibility.
Qualifications You Must Have- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations or similar field and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in operations, manufacturing engineering or similar experience.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent.
- Prior work experience in the Aerospace Industry.
- Project management experience.
- Experience with Electron Beam Physical Vapor Deposition or Vapor Phase Aluminide.
USD 107,500 – 204,500.
