A manufacturing company in Hamilton, NC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support existing product lines and drive continuous improvements in manufacturing processes. This role is responsible for evaluating current product designs, implementing engineering changes, and developing efficient production methods that improve manufacturability, quality, and overall operational performance.
Responsibilities- Modify and improve existing product designs to enhance manufacturability, quality, and production efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review designs, evaluate engineering changes, and support new product updates.
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes, assembly methods, and production standards.
- Design and develop assembly workstations, specify testing equipment, and establish assembly procedures for production teams.
- Create and maintain bills of materials (BOMs), routings, and related engineering documentation within the ERP system.
- Analyze production processes and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Train and support production personnel on new processes, equipment, and assembly standards.
- Ensure product designs can be effectively and consistently manufactured within existing production capabilities.
- 3+ years of experience in a Manufacturing Engineer, Design Engineer, or similar engineering role.
- Proficiency with 3D CAD software, with strong experience using Solid Works.
- Experience supporting product design, development, and manufacturing implementation.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Design Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with sheet metal product design and manufacturing processes.
