Senior & Principal Instrumentation and Controls Engineer (s) Purpose
You will provide instrumentation and controls engineering services to EPC and its customers, including technical support and supervision within the instrumentation and controls engineering team
Duties and Responsibilities- Deliver instrumentation and controls engineering services that meet EPC, its customers and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within bud
- get Initiate, manage and if required supervise instrumentation and controls engineering project requirements
- Perform instrumentation and controls engineering services
- Participate in relevant meetings, prepare progress reports and follow required checking procedures
- Ensure the project scope is clear and that changes comply with project change management processes
- Provide assistance and advice during procurement, construction and commissioning activities. For example, write requisitions, conduct technical bid evaluations and write purchase orders
- Completes additional responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate
- Function as the instrumentation and controls engineering lead on specific projects
- Outline project requirements including actively promoting workshare, where appropriate, assign tasks and supervise progress
- Proactively resolve any discrepancies between Worley and its customer's requirements
- Keep up‑to‑date with the latest developments and technical innovations in the instrumentation and controls engineering field
- Assist and support junior personnel within the instrumentation and controls engineering t
- eam Communicate effectively with the instrumentation and controls engineering team and project stakeholders, including the customers
- Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required
- May serve as a technical consultant within area of expertise. Makes formal presentations to the customer or Company management
- Extensive years of relevant discipline experience
- Experience working in project leadership role
- Experience in estimating project costs and writing proposal content
- Highly effective technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to EPC and its customers
- A sound knowledge of the fundamental requirements of the instrumentation and controls engineering, and the basic requirements of other engineering fields
- A sound knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory requirements
- Competent use of instrumentation and controls engineering specific soft
- Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Software
- Substantial technical and practical experience in instrumentation and controls engineering in the same or similar industry including experience in working in multi-disciplinary projects and teams
- BS or MS in related field or applicable discipline, typically an engineering degree; or equivalent experience if allowed by law
- Professional Engineer (PE) in the United States is preferred
