Civil Engineer - PE or EIT
We're seeking a Civil Engineer with experience in Land Development and/or Site Development to join our growing Asheville, NC team! This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, mixed-use, industrial, and municipal projects from concept through completion.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for civil site design, grading, drainage, utility design, and coordination with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies. Candidates must possess either a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or an Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) certification.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare site development plans for residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects.
- Perform grading, drainage, stormwater management, and utility design.
- Coordinate project permitting and regulatory approvals with local and state agencies.
- Collaborate with project managers, surveyors, clients, contractors, and municipal representatives.
- Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with applicable standards and regulations.
- Provide technical support throughout all phases of project development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license OR Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) certification required.
- Experience in Land Development and/or Site Development projects.
- Knowledge of grading, stormwater, drainage, utility, and site design principles.
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar design software.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
