Job DutiesThis position will assist the Food Service Supervisor, provide support of the facility’s Child Nutrition Program, and will ensure compliance with the Department’s Federal Child Nutrition Program regulations.
- Providing nutritionally adequate meals meeting the federal Child Nutrition Program meal patterns.
- Maintaining required records, reports, and inventories in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Requisition ing food and supplies as needed.
- Maintaining high standards of personal cleanliness as well as food sanitation.
- Interpreting and following standard recipes and prescribed menus as well as specific oral and written instructions.
- Checking the cost and quality of items received and insure proper storage.
- Complying with policies and procedures of the Department.
- Assuming any responsibilities as designated by the Youth Development Center Food Service Supervisor II, facility business officer, facility director, the Child Nutrition Program Administrator and Child Nutrition Program Administrative Officer.

NC01 Salary Range: $31,200-$46,991

Work hours for this position are Monday‑Sunday. The shifts vary for this position. Candidates must be able to work on‑call hours, weekends and holidays on a rotating basis and be able to work a variable work schedule to meet the needs of juveniles and their families.
