This is a full-time, on-site Physical Therapist position located in Columbus, NC about an hour from Asheville, NC. The Physical Therapist will evaluate and assess patient needs, develop and implement personalized treatment plans, and provide therapeutic interventions to improve physical functioning and quality of life. Additional responsibilities include documenting progress, educating patients and their families about at-home exercises and recovery processes, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
This role is with an active older adult population and is primarily outpatient with occasional inpatient clients.
- Proficiency in physical therapy evaluation, development of treatment plans, and implementation of therapeutic exercises
- Willingness to learn and interest in expanding specialty care which may include pelvic health, balance and vestibular issues, manual techniques, and neurological conditions
- Effective communication to collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Valid licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist in the state of North Carolina
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt treatments to individual client needs
- Basic proficiency in documentation and record-keeping within healthcare systems
- Prior experience working with senior populations is a plus
- Master's, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
