No previous experience is required.
We have opportunities for a part‑time Activity Assistant working three days per week in assisted living/skilled nursing. No early mornings or late nights. Earn at least $17/hour (more with experience) and participate in our part‑time benefits, including paid time off, the employee assistance program, scholarship program, and much more.
Days:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
Hours:
9:00 AM - 5:00 PM generally, with some flexibility
- Aiding residents in small or large‑group activities
- Promoting resident interest in recreational activities such as arts/crafts, music, exercise, pet therapy, spiritual programs and resident socials
- Gearing activities to resident interest and capacity
- Providing 1‑1 visits with residents who prefer a personal room setting
- Assisting in documentation of activities and patient participation
- Contributing to resident care planning
- Maintaining activity equipment and supplies
- Other duties as assigned
- Commitment to providing care, companionship, and excellent communication in a care setting
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds
- Mobility that allows for supporting our residents by pushing wheelchairs, bending, stooping and/or kneeling
