Ascent Healthcare Management is growing across Western North Carolina, and we are seeking a high-energy, relationship-driven Admissions Coordinators to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves people, and knows how to turn opportunities into results.
Position SummaryThe Admissions Coordinator serves as the face of the facility, driving census through timely admissions, exceptional customer service, and strong relationship management with hospitals, families, referral sources, and the internal clinical team.
This role requires someone who can juggle moving parts, communicate clearly, and maintain a positive attitude, even when the day throws curveballs. You will help ensure every admission is smart, compliant, clinically appropriate, and sets the resident up for success from the first minute they walk in the door.
What You’ll Do Drive Census With Skill & StrategyBuild and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, physicians, case managers, and referral partners.
Respond quickly and professionally to all referrals because speed matters.
Identify high-quality, appropriate admissions that support clinical success and financial stability.
Track trends, monitor daily census, and support facility growth goals.
Coordinate the admission process from referral to arrival.
Validate payor sources, benefits, authorizations, and financial accuracy.
Review clinicals for safe, appropriate placement.
Communicate closely with the DON, Administrator, and interdisciplinary team for seamless transitions.
Provide outstanding customer service to residents, families, and stakeholders.
Lead facility tours and create a welcoming, trustworthy first impression.
Serve as the go-to resource for questions and support during the admission journey.
Manage a fast-moving workload with confidence and humor.
Keep documentation accurate and compliant in PCC and other systems.
Support marketing initiatives, internal events, and community presence.
Experience in admissions, social services, marketing, case management, or healthcare preferred.
Strong communication and people skills- warm, approachable, confident.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay calm under pressure.
Someone who genuinely enjoys people and can laugh through the chaos while still getting it done.
Knowledge of SNF regulations, payors, and pre-admission processes a major plus.
