Position: Travel MRI Technologist - $1,872 per week

Job Overview

TNAA Total Med Allied is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a travel job in Asheville, North Carolina.

Responsibilities
  • Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support as required.
  • Screen patients for MRI safety prior to procedure performance.
  • Interpret doctors' written instructions correctly.
  • Position patients for MRI scans using immobilization and protective equipment to comply with government regulations and ensure the safety of patients and staff.
  • Assist radiologist with procedure performance.
  • Start IVs, administer contrast media as directed and per protocol.
  • Evaluate MRI scans for technical quality, collate processed images and sequence of exposure and label appropriately.
  • Load and operate power injectors for contrast media administration.
  • Follow safety procedures when working with radiation.
  • Maintain accurate patient records.
  • Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of MRI technician experience.
  • Must have BLS, ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT National Certification with registration in magnetic resonance imaging, and state‑specific licensing when required.
  • Physically able to stand and walk for long periods, and bend, lean or stoop without difficulty.
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
  • Applicants should hold at least a 2‑year certificate or higher, such as ARRT (MR) or BLS.
