RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - CVICU Float Pool

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with 36 hours per week and alternating weekends

• 48 hours guaranteed per week

• Overtime available after 48 hours

• Float to all areas as part of rapid response team

• Work with ECMO, LVAD, and Cath lab recovery capable patients

• Patient ratios of 2:1 or 1:1 (occasionally 3:1 depending on acuity)

• Work in 16-bed unit with RNs only, no HUC or PCT support

• Required to titrate vesicant medications and work with pressors, sedation, paralytics

• Must have experience with ventilators, trachs, and telemetry interpretation

• Understanding of hemodynamics and PA catheter setup and interpretation required

• Perform transvenous pacing, cardioversion, and TEE procedures

• Handle chest tube insertions and maintenance

• Advanced skills with IABP, Impella, and CRRT highly desirable

• ICU experience required

• CCRN certification recommended but not required

• Use Cerner documentation system

• Equipment includes ventilators, telemetry, Baxter IV pumps, IABP, CRRT, Impella, hypothermia devices

• Dress code requires all navy scrubs or navy and white combination only

• No pullovers, hoodies, or green scrubs allowed

• 4-hour hospital orientation followed by 8-hour floor shift

• RTO/special scheduling will not be accommodated
