Adecco is partnering with a well-established manufacturing organization on a Human Resources Manager role. This position will lead day-to-day HR operations while serving as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees across the business.

This is a hands-on role covering employee relations, recruitment, compliance, and workforce development within a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Job Summary

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing core HR functions, including recruitment and onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits administration, health and safety, claims management, training, and compliance with applicable employment legislation. This role provides guidance on employment law and supports the development and execution of HR policies, programs, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise managers and supervisors on employee relations matters, policy interpretation, and compliance with employment and human rights legislation
  • Identify, evaluate, and resolve employee relations issues in partnership with leadership
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment including postings, screening, interviews, offers, and onboarding
  • Support employee development initiatives and succession planning
  • Coach and mentor HR team members and support management in coaching their teams
  • Manage claims including STD, LTD, workers’ compensation, and return-to-work programs
  • Analyze trends and prepare reports related to absenteeism, turnover, and workplace safety
  • Plan and support employee engagement initiatives
  • Conduct investigations, disciplinary meetings, and terminations in line with company policy
  • Ensure confidentiality and consistency in all HR matters
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
  • HR designation or certification preferred
  • 5–7 years of progressive HR experience
  • Manufacturing experience strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of employment standards, human rights, and occupational health and safety legislation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a changing environment
  • Experience with HRIS systems (Oracle or similar)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
