Job SummaryThe Senior EHR Support Analyst supports multiple facilities for a set of clinical applications or a module for a market. The role includes facilitating clinical IT activities, providing second level support, leading new module/application testing and implementation, managing application dictionaries, customizing policies, training, and ensuring compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Support multiple facilities as a key clinical IT resource for implementation and support of a broad set of clinical applications.
- Lead and facilitate clinical system teams on core IT activities.
- Provide second level support as a clinical subject matter expert, resolving incidents and fulfilling requests from the Service Desk.
- Collaborate with enterprise and division experts to manage clinical application incidents and requests.
- Serve as project leader for facility-based implementations of software releases and new products, and facilitate deployment across multiple facilities.
- Provide on-call assistance as needed.
- Lead, monitor, and facilitate new module/application testing and implementation for the facility.
- Maintain facility-specific dictionaries and customize base division policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Develop and deliver training materials and hands‑on training to clinical staff.
- Promote division standardization, utilization, integration, and optimization plans for clinical applications.
- Coordinate facility application reporting requests, define report requirements, validate results, and develop reports as needed.
- Perform quality audits and track metrics related to clinical application use.
- Participate in meetings as a member of facility clinical leadership.
- Promote system security and patient confidentiality, ensuring compliance.
- Coordinate the execution and use of tools for audits.
- Build strong relationships with core customers and facility leadership.
- Understanding of clinical operations, application support processes, and workflow.
- Knowledge of accreditation guidelines such as JCAHO, MQSA, HIPAA, and ACR.
- Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with diverse personalities.
- Effective verbal and written communication with clinical and IT personnel.
- Customer‑oriented mindset.
- Excellent leadership and teaching abilities.
- Advanced computer skills.
- Understanding of reporting tools functionality and capabilities.
- Willingness to travel to assigned sites to complete work.
- Proficiency in various programming and clinical application reporting tools.
- Customer service orientation and/or training experience.
- Education:
Bachelor's degree preferred. - Experience:
Three to five years of clinical application support or related clinical work experience. - Certifications:
Licenses or credentials within specific clinical specialties preferred; possession/maintenance of specialty clinical licensure strongly desired. Valid state driver’s license and proof of auto insurance (if applicable).
