A well-established, mid-sized law firm with an excellent reputation in the Asheville area is seeking an experienced Elder Law & Estate Planning Attorney to join its growing practice. This is an outstanding opportunity for an attorney who enjoys sophisticated planning work, values collaboration, and wants to build a long-term career with a respected firm.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of elder law and/or estate planning experience and be comfortable handling in-depth tax and wealth planning matters. Candidates with experience in probate, elder law, trust/estate administration and other related areas may also be considered. The firm works with a diverse client base and offers exposure to complex and rewarding legal work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft and review comprehensive estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and advanced tax-planning strategies
  • Advise clients on estate, gift, and wealth transfer planning with an emphasis on tax efficiency
  • Collaborate with colleagues on matters involving probate, estate and trust administration, and related issues
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with clients, providing practical and thoughtful guidance
  • Manage matters independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum 2+ years of estate planning experience or experience in elder law, probate, or other related areas.
  • Strong knowledge of estate and gift tax planning concepts
  • Experience or exposure to probate, estate/trust administration, and/or elder law is a plus
  • Excellent drafting, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Licensed and in good standing to practice law in North Carolina (or ability to obtain licensure)
