Quality Inspector - AWWWeekend Day Shift; Onsite

Location:

Asheville, NC, Pratt & Whitney Blvd (US-NC-ASHEVILLE-330).

Shift: Friday to Sunday, 6:00am – 6:30pm (AWW1 shift).

Citizenship: U.S. citizenship required.

• Work from inspection procedures, drawings, and instructions to plan and perform dimensional and visual inspections on parts, tools, gauges, and equipment.
• Accept material or refer for rework or quality review based on findings.
• Use fixed and variable measuring instruments, including automated measuring machines, to check dimensions, record results, and perform problem solving for nonconformance.
• Document inspections and follow proper procedures for inline checks and verification.
• Perform Solumina required job audits for Op Cert surveillance and OpCert overall inspections as needed.
• Maintain current knowledge of federal and customer technical data (FAA/JAA).
• Train other operators to perform work tasks and provide technical support; maintain strong relationships with the operations team and demonstrate leadership.

• Inspection of blades and vanes on the production line.
• Reading blueprints, using hand gauges, and understanding technical standards.
• Performing final inspections, writing quality notifications, and over-inspections.
• Advanced layout inspection skills and routine operations.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Previous inspection experience.

• ASQ Certified Quality Inspector.
• Previous aerospace manufacturing experience.
• SAP experience.
• Experience with Keyence or profilometers.
• Microsoft Office experience.
