Registered Nurse Trauma Spine – Mission Health
We’re looking for a Registered Nurse to provide patient‑centered care in our trauma spine unit at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC.

As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care in line with state and specialty standards, collaborate with medical providers and the care team, and act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers.
Responsibilities- Assess patient condition on admission and during each scheduled shift, identifying and reporting any changes.
- Perform procedures, monitor, or other functions as ordered by the provider and document care administration in the medical record.
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor therapeutic response, taking appropriate action if needed.
- Respond promptly to patient requests, anticipate needs and resolve issues.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical condition, treatment plan, medications, side effects and follow‑up.
- BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) or enrollment in a BSN program; must obtain BSN within five years of hire.
- Masters in Nursing preferred.
- Valid RN license with North Carolina Board of Nursing; BLS Healthcare Provider certification and eNLC license (if applicable).
- National certification in specialty preferred.
- 1 year nursing experience required; 10+ years exempt.
Mission Hospital, Asheville, North Carolina – 815‑bed acute care facility, Level II trauma center, Magnet® designation.
