Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour night shifts (varied days), 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM; includes every-other-weekend requirement and holiday support

• Manage complex critically ill patients on a 10-bed ICU/PCU overflow unit with strong clinical judgment
• Perform ventilator management and titrate advanced hemodynamic support safely and effectively
• Administer and monitor critical care pharmacology including sedatives, paralytics and vasopressors
• Maintain and care for central lines and assist providers with bedside procedures such as chest tube insertion and intubations
• Provide thorough bedside shift report to ensure continuity of care and excellent patient experience
• Document accurately in Cerner and communicate changes to the multidisciplinary team
• Float as needed between units, collaborating with charge nurses and supporting unit staffing needs
• Participate in nurse leader rounding when assigned as relief charge nurse to promote quality and patient satisfaction

• Active RN license (state of practice) in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of recent critical care or medical ICU/PCU experience in a large facility
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Comfortable with ventilator management, advanced hemodynamic monitoring, and central line care
• Ability to float and adapt to changing unit needs with a positive, team-first attitude
• Strong critical thinking, excellent communication skills, and demonstrated reliability for weekend/holiday rotations
• Experience with Cerner or similar electronic medical record systems preferred

• IV pump operation and infusion titration
• Assisting with bedside procedures (intubation, chest tubes)

• Familiarity with Cerner documentation and workflows
• Ability to manage 2:1 ICU patient ratios and 4–5:1 PCU workloads
